What we do
Most Nerang families do not want to drive to three different places for one health problem. Our GPs and nurses work alongside on-site 4Cyte pathology, physiotherapy, psychology, dietetics, audiology and a visiting cardiologist, so more of your care can happen in the one visit on Station Road. New patients are welcome, and you can stay with the same GP through MyMedicare.

Queensland records some of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world (Cancer Council Australia). Our GPs examine your skin with a dermatoscope and talk you through what they find.

Female GPs are available for the appointments where that matters. Ask reception when you book and they will match you with an available female doctor.

Fees and billing
We are a bulk billing practice for all eligible Medicare services, which means most GP appointments cost eligible patients nothing out of pocket. A small number of services sit outside Medicare and do attract a fee. Everything is listed below and on our fees page, so there are no surprises at the front desk.

Yes. We are a bulk billing practice for all eligible Medicare services, so eligible patients have no out of pocket cost for those appointments. A small number of services sit outside Medicare, such as iron and vitamin infusions and commercial driver medicals, and these are charged as a private fee. Allied health appointments attract a gap payment after the Medicare rebate. The full list is on our fees page, and reception can confirm the cost before you book.
The skin check consultation is bulk billed for eligible Medicare patients. If your GP recommends a procedure such as a biopsy or excision, or pathology is required, they will explain what is involved and any cost before it goes ahead.
Yes. Female GPs are available. Choose a specific doctor when booking online, or tell reception when you call and they will match you with an available female doctor. Female GPs can provide cervical screening, contraception including IUD and implant options, antenatal care and general women's health appointments.
Walk-in patients are welcome during opening hours and no appointment is necessary. Booking online or by phone usually means a shorter wait, because walk-in waiting times depend on how busy the clinic is that day.
We are open seven days: Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. When we are closed, the National Home Doctor Service can be reached on 13 41 00. In an emergency, call 000.
The clinic is Shop 7/57 Station Road, inside My Centre Nerang, opposite Specsavers at the ALDI end. Centre parking is free for patients and there is step-free access from the car park to the clinic entrance.
Bring your Medicare card and any concession or DVA card, a list of your current medications, and details of any recent test results or specialist letters. For a skin check, avoid wearing makeup or nail polish and wear clothing that is easy to change out of, so your GP can examine your skin properly. New patients will be asked to complete a short registration form, so arriving about ten minutes early helps.
Yes. 4Cyte pathology operates on site, so many blood tests and samples can be collected during the same visit rather than at a separate location.
MyMedicare is a free and voluntary Australian Government program that formally links you to your regular GP and practice. Registering supports continuity of care and can give you access to additional Medicare items. You can register through your Medicare online account, the Express Plus Medicare app, or with help from our reception team at your next visit.
